What is a staffing agency?

How does Labor Exchange work?
Tell us what you need and when. We pull from our pool of pre-screened local workers and dispatch them, often the same day. They work for you; we handle their payroll, taxes, and workers’ comp. You get the help and one simple invoice.
How much does it cost to use a staffing agency?
You pay one rate per worker hour, and it covers everything: the worker’s pay, payroll taxes, workers’ comp, and our screening. No long contracts and no hidden fees. Tell us what you need and we’ll quote it for the job.
Is it worth using a staffing agency?
When you need people fast, only for a while, or without taking on payroll and compliance risk, it is. We carry the W-2 employment, the taxes, and the workers’ comp, so the work gets done without the HR headache.
What is temp-to-hire?
It’s a try-before-you-hire path. The worker starts on our payroll, and if they’re a great fit, you bring them on permanently. It’s a low-risk way to find people who actually stick.
Are your workers W-2 employees or 1099?
W-2. Every worker we send is our employee, so we carry their taxes, workers’ comp, and payroll. You’re never exposed to the misclassification risk that comes with 1099 day labor.
Do you screen and drug-test workers?
Every worker is pre-screened before we dispatch them. Drug testing and background checks are available on request.
Do you pay daily?
On most jobs, yes. Work today, get paid today. We know our people often need to get paid for the work they did, when they did it.
What do I need to start working with Labor Exchange?
Bring two forms of ID that meet federal I-9 requirements. Once you’re set up, we’ll work to get you on a job site, often within a day or two.
